Frequently Asked Questions

What is RSC?

advanced divider

RSC (Rocket Soccar Confederation) is a 3v3 draft based league open to players of all skill levels on Steam, Xbox and Playstation for Rocket League. We are a not-for-profit organisation that not only operates in Europe but North America also.

How does the league work?

advanced divider

Each season when we open signups, we will give each player a calculated MMR value (known in the league as CMV) which separates all players in to tiers based on their value. As of right now, the league is split in to 6 tiers. Premier tier is the highest, aimed at bubble players over 2k, followed by Elite, Major, Minor, Challenger and Prospect, the lowest tier. The tier that you are placed in determines which tier you will play in throughout the season. During season play, one series is comprised of 4 games. Each win from the 4 game series awards the winning team a point e.g if you win 3-1, your team will be awarded 3 points. There are no extra points awarded for a series win. Each member of a team is required to play at least 20% of the games throughout the season, this ensures that everybody plays. Should a player not meet the 20% mark then that team will forfeit their position in playoffs.

Can Pre-made teams join?

advanced divider

Pre-made teams are not eligible to signup as a team. The only way that a pre-established roster can play together is if their General Manager decides to draft, sign or trade all players to their franchise however this is something that the players have to discuss with their General Manager once in a Franchise.

How does the Draft work?

advanced divider

At the start of every season, each new signup we gain is placed as a “Draft Eligible” (DE) player. This means that when we get around to draft day, every General Manager will take turns in picking DE players from each tier to join their team. Everybody that has signed up as a player will be drafted, however, once roster lock comes around, GMs must cut their teams down to 4 players.

When are games played?

advanced divider

This league works off a flexi-scheduling system, this means that either the team captain, Franchise AGM or General Manager will speak to the relevant team to establish a date and time that suits all players. The games are scheduled one week in advance, any teams that do not schedule games in time are required to choose from either Monday or Wednesday at 21:00CET/CEST to play the matches that have not been scheduled.

What is a General Manager?

advanced divider

A General Manager (GM) is the owner/head of a Franchise. At the moment, we have 18 Franchises with 5-6 teams in each (One team in each franchise for every tier). The General Managers are responsible for all teams that they have within their franchise as well as the players within them. The GM is the first point of contact for players that either wish to join their specific franchise as well as the main point of contact for players wishing to be cut or traded.

What are Combines?

advanced divider

Combines are friendly 6-Man style events that are ran during the off-season. The combines are open to anybody who wishes to play in them and allow the players to showcase their talent to any General Managers or Franchise scouts that may be either spectating or playing, allowing you to show why you should be drafted to a team. The combines are generally split between either ranks, or tiers, depending on what point of the off-season we are currently in.

When are Combines?

advanced divider

Combines are run every Wednesday and Saturday at 20:00 CET/CEST during off-season. These are normally listed in the scheduling channel and have no specific end time but are continuously running until there are no longer enough players to carry on.

How do I play in Combines?

advanced divider

Anybody can play in combines, all that is required is for you to join the relevant channels on the day that they are hosted. As the combines channels are normally split in either ranks or tiers, you should join the combine channel that either best reflects your rank, or matches the tier that you have been placed in. The channels should be set up in a way that displays both the name and password e.g the voice channel is called “Major1/Major1”, the lobby name will be “Major1”, the password would be “Major1”.

What happens if I am cut from my team?

advanced divider

Players who have been cut from their team will be Free Agents (FA). This means that you are eligible to be picked up by any other franchise on a new contract once your waiver period has ended.

What is a Permanent Free Agent (PFA)?

advanced divider

A PFA is a type of player that does not wish to be signed to a team but would still like the option to substitute for a team should the need arise. There are a couple of rules surrounding how many times a PFA can sub for a team and for that, we recommend using the rule book to ensure you are familiarised and understand what it means to be a PFA.

What is Roster Lock?

advanced divider

Roster Lock is the term used to define the latest point that General Managers must cut their teams down to 4 players. Roster lock is generally a set date prior to the season starting. This allows GMs to understand what rosters would be best for the team and as such, it is important you are active within your franchise for scrims and matches to make a point as to why you should be on the Franchise’s final roster.

Does this league have prize-pools?

advanced divider

RSC EU trialled it’s first ever Prizepool in Season 7 with a £260 pool for the Elite tier, which was won by Nocturne of the Overture franchise. In Season 8 we gave away a Prizepool of £1260 provided by our sponsor Luna Organisation and Donations from the RSC community, offered to the newly formed Premier tier (£1000) and Elite tier (£260). This was distributed amongst the 4 rostered players of the 1st and 2nd place teams in Premier and the top 3 in Elite at the conclusion of the season’s playoffs. For Season 9 we will introduce a Prizepool in every tier, with the the Tier Winners from Prospect – Elite taking all of the Prize and in Premier 1st and 2nd splitting £1000 for 1st and £250 for 2nd.
