With week 8 coming to an end in RSC, here is your weekly round up.

ELITE

Volvo V70 (1997) remains 4th in the Elite standings. Following those above them with no change in the top 3. Moving down we have Rias Legion jump ahead of Iovi, pushing them on the tether of playoffs. Bionic Beavers move up this week, moving from 11th to 10th. Is this the start of an upwards trend for Fain’s Elite team? Or will the momentum sweep them off their feet and see them sink down the table.

If we look to the top of the table, Inferno have reduced the gap between themselves and The Concealed. At the close of week 7 The Concealed had a comfortable gap of 6 wins. However, Inferno only sit 2 wins away from being level with the top spot.

Otherwise if we look throughout the table not much else has changed. Games are becoming more tense and the stakes are higher. At the close of Week 8 Nocturne in 3rd are sat on 35 wins, whilst Bionic Beavers in 10th are sat on 27 wins. A series of unfortunate events could see this entire table turn on it’s head.

WEEK 9 Predictions – Made by C^2 of Iovi:

Volvo V70 (1997) 2-2 Nocturne

Iovi 1-3 The Concealed

Rias Legion 1-3 Polaris

Senpais 0-4 Chain-Dash

Castor 1-3 Olympus

Inferno 2-2 Bionic Beavers

Nocturne 1-3 Polaris

The Concealed 1-3 Volvo V70 (1997)

Senpais 1-3 Bionic Beavers

Olympus 0-4 Inferno

Iovi 3-1 Chain-Dash

Rias Legion 4-0 Castor

MAJOR

Blaze seems to have relit their fire, as they go 5-3 in week 8. Although, they do not shift any positions in the standings. They now sit in 4th place whilst only being 4 wins from top of the table Flip-Reset. They will need to however be cautious of who is below them, as they only sit 5 games away from not being in the playoffs.

Rhapsody has lost out on second place after Otakus moved into second. But only marginally as there is only one game between them. Rhapsody will have their chance to snatch first place this week as Otakus will face off with Flip-Reset. A series sweep from Rhapsody and a series draw from the top two will see Rhapsody in prime position to claim first.

Meanwhile, Android #16 have jumped up from 9th into 6th place and a playoff position. They’ll be hoping they can continue this upward trend, as in the last two weeks they have moved from 12th up into 6th. And being 4 games off of 3rd place Rhapsody, could Android #16 do the unthinkable and move up into 3rd?

With just 24 games left for all teams to play, who will seize the opportunities they are given and who bottle the opportunity of being in contention for a playoff position. Now is more important than ever as time is running out. This is sure to go down to the wire.

WEEK 9 Predictions – Made by Jeff of The Hidden:

Toyota Corolla (1995) 2-2 Rhapsody

Saturnia 1-3 The Hidden

Megumin Cult 1-3 Fusion

Flip-Reset 0-4 Otakus

Android #16 3-1 Blaze

Rhapsody 4-0 Fusion

The Hidden 2-2 Toyota Corolla (1995)

Otakus 1-3 Android #16

Saturnia 3-1 Flip-Reset

Megumin Cult 3-1 Pollux

Ragnarok 1-3 Blaze

MINOR

The Veiled say peekaboo to the Weeaboos as they leapfrog them and take 4th place.

3 games is all that separates these two teams. However, this might not last long as The Veiled will take a journey up north as they face off against Fiat Multipla (1999). If Weeaboos can keep their composure and bring in the results, they may be able to claim back 4th.

Ember have fallen again down the standings, this time to 11th. They will need to regroup heading into week 9 as they will need to bring in the results now, before they lose any hope of a playoff position. Currently sitting in tenth position, Deathlok will be focused on moving back up the standings as they have seen a dramatic drop due to roster issues.

Any loss of concentration in week 9, could have a massive impact on the playoff positions.

All teams will want to ensure they are pushing up as the middle of the table seem to be bunching up. It’s now do or die time, and every game is a must win.

WEEK 9 Predictions – Made by Mash56e of Deathlok:

Fiat Multipla (1999) 4-0 Concerto

Uranum 2-2 The Veiled

Erina Tribe 3-1 Genesis

Double-Tap 1-3 Weeaboos

Sirius 2-2 Valhalla

Ember 1-3 Deathlok

Concerto 3-1 Genesis

The Veiled 2-2 Fiat Multipla (1999)

Weeaboos 2-2 Deathlok

Valhalla 3-1 Ember

Uranum 3-1 Double-Tap

Erina Tribe 4-0 Sirius

CHALLENGER

There are sparks in the air as Spark up the table once again. After a miserable week for Ignite, they bounce back in style. The close of week 8 sees Spark overtake both Astro and The Obscure. This means heading into week 8, Spark sit 2nd, The Obscure 3rd and Astro 4th.

Spark may look ahead of their upcoming games and start to think they will go up even further. They will face off against 9th place Asgard and 10th place Borg. However, all these teams will have playoffs on their minds. Especially those at Borg and Asgard who are 4 games off a playoff position.

Playoffs are again still possible for 12th standing Half-Flip, but it is now looking like this is not going to happen. They sit 12 games from 6th place Vauxhall with only 24 games remaining.

Nevertheless, just because they can no longer make playoffs; it doesn’t mean they can’t prevent others from making it.

The team to keep an eye out for this week is Imoutos as they currently sit in eighth place. They will be keen on moving up into a playoff position. However, it won’t be a simple task as they face off against 12th place Half-Flip and 10th place Borg. Borg are still in with a chance of playoffs, so this matchup will be one to watch.

WEEK 9 Predictions – Made by Ujkan of Nezuko Gang:

Vauxhall Zafira (2000) 2-2 Chorus

Neptunium 1-3 Obscure

Nezuko Gang 3-1 Astro

Imoutous 3-1 Half-Flip

Regulus 1-3 Asgard

Spark 4-0 Borg

Chorus 2-2 Astro

Obscure 4-0 Vauxhall Zafira (2000)

Imoutos 3-1 Borg

Asgard 1-3 Spark

Half-Flip 1-3 Neptunium

Nezuko Gang 4-0 Regulus

PROSPECT

Prospect is really the place to be if you’re looking for some entertainment and drama.

Maika Faction has moved from 3rd back down into 5th. This sees Ford Mondeo (1994) moving up into 3rd and Yggdrasil move up into 4th.

Let’s talk about the playoffs. Being personally involved in the race for a playoff position, this is an amazing spectacle and a great way to see the close of season 6 of RSC. With 3 weeks remaining we will see 16 match ups which consists of the top 9 teams. With a total of 24 wins up for grabs there’s absolutely no way to predict who will secure a playoff position.

Apollo who currently sit 9th will face off against Maika Faction in week 9. Whilst Arcturus who sit 7th face off against both Maika Faction and Yggdrasil. Kindling has two new faces as James is promoted to Challenger and Ghandi moves to Aerial. Will they be able to gel quick enough as they only sit 6th with a better goal difference to that of Arcturus. Every game and every goal will matter in the next 3 weeks. This will go down to the final day of the season.

WEEK 9 Predictions – Made by KalliManSam of Yggdrasil:

Ford Mondeo (1994) 3-1 Prelude

Terra 4-0 The Masked

Maika Faction 2-2 Apollo

Otoutos 0-4 Aerial

Arcturus 1-3 Yggdrasil

Kindling 3-1 Droid

Apollo 2-2 Prelude

The Masked 0-4 Ford Mondeo (1994)

Otoutos 3-1 Droid

Yggdrasil 3-1 Kindling

Aerial 2-2 Terra

Maika Faction 1-3 Arcturus
